JBL has unveiled its latest innovation in audio technology with the introduction of the Tour Pro 3 headphones, designed for high-performance sound and equipped with cutting-edge features. This release, showcased at Gamescom in Cologne during a presentation that Gamereactor attended, is set to launch on September 14 at a price of 299.99 euros.
The upgraded model boasts dual hybrid drivers in each earbud to provide independent amplification, enhancing the listening experience with improved sound quality. Additionally, it incorporates the LDAC codec to deliver audio that closely mirrors studio quality. JBL has also introduced personalized "Personi-Fi" EQ settings, ensuring that users can tailor the audio output to their specific preferences. The headphones come equipped with AI-driven technology capable of distinguishing voices from ambient noise, which adds to their effectiveness in various environments.
Regarding noise cancellation, JBL has developed ANC 2.0, which promises to deliver a more sophisticated experience compared to the already adaptive features found in the current JBL Live series. Designed with gamers in mind, the earphones feature head-tracking technology, enhancing spatial awareness and providing a more immersive stereo sound experience.
One particularly intriguing aspect of the Tour Pro 3 is its newly enhanced smart charging case. Previously appreciated for its touch controls and small screen, this case now serves as an audio transmitter. It can send sound to both the earphones and other Auracast devices, functioning as a receiver and broadcaster. This innovative connectivity is supported through USB-C and a stereo mini-jack, with an adapter provided in the packaging, making it a versatile addition to any audio setup.
